  • to promote purebred registered dogs
  • to encourage the training of purebred registered dogs for show, field and obedience trials
  • to organize classes for obedience and field training for all dogs, and training classes for field, show, and obedience for purebred registered dogs
  • to assist the novice and new contestants in understanding ring and trial and field procedures and rules governing them
  • to have an educational programme suited to both the breeder, dog enthusiast and pet owner
  • to hold under Canadian Kennel Club rules subject to the approval thereof, field and obedience trials, and all breed shows at the Fun, Sanction and Licensed level
  • to create an atmosphere conducive to the enthusiastic enhancement of the "Dog" in our society
  • to improve through efforts of the corporation, and corporate members the standards of breeding

    The 2019 WDCA all breed championship conformation dog shows took place on February 22, 23 & 24. 

    Best In Show winner for February 22 was GCh. Butterblac's BMW (Schipperke)

    Reserve Best In Show winner for February 22 was Ch. Pekehuis Shazam (Pekingese)

    Best Puppy In Show for February 22 was Aristocrafts Samba In Da Reign (French bulldog)

    Best Baby Puppy In Show for February 22 was Shadowland Reaper At The Gates (German shorthaired pointer)

    Best In Show winner for February 23 was GCh. Vetset Count Me In (Standard poodle)

    Reserve Best In Show winner for February 23 was GChEx. Midnight Lady's Fire Up Your Engine Moso (Newfoundland)

    Best Puppy In Show for February 23 was Shadowland Along For The Ride (German shorthaired pointer)

    Best Baby Puppy In Show for February 23 was Gumby's Flew The Cooper Buoy (Chinese shar-pei)

    Best In Show winner for February 24 was Ch. Pekehuis Shazam (Pekingese)

    Reserve Best In Show winner for February 24 was GChEx. Midnight Lady's Fire Up Your Engine Moso (Newfoundland)

    Best Puppy In Show for February 24 was Vanderbilt's Strike It Big (Samoyed)

    Best Baby Puppy In Show for February 24 was Gumby's Flew The Cooper Buoy (Chinese shar-pei)

     Our most recent obedience trial and rally obedience trial took place on September 19, 2019.

    High In Trial was Ch. Callibreeze Girl's Got Rythem PCD, RA (Labrador retriever) from Novice B

     

     

     The Woodstock and District Canine Association annual Awards Night for 2018 was held on May 24, 2019 at the Elmhurst Inn in Ingersoll.

    The WDCA obedience dog of the year 2017 is GCh. Trishamar's It's My Party RI (Siberian husky bred and owned by Melody and Tim Roth).

    We didn't have any qualifying dogs for conformation and best of opposite in 2018.  

    Titles completed by our members in 2018 are:

    -   GCh. Trishamar's It's My Party RI (Siberian husky bred and owned by Melody and Tim Roth).

    Congratulations to our members and their canine companions!

     

    Ongoing ...

    WDCA general meetings are held once a month (except March, July, August & December) at various locations in the Woodstock area.  Please contact one of us below if you're interested in attending. 

    We will not be holding obedience/rally classes and conformation practice this year.  Sorry! 

    The WDCA has donated to many charities throughout the years.  Some of these have been:
